Privacy

This page describes what this site actually does. Every statement below was written from the application's real configuration, not from a boilerplate template. Items still awaiting owner or legal confirmation are marked [OWNER CONFIRMATION REQUIRED] and are listed nowhere else in disguise.

What we collect when you simply read the site

Nothing that identifies you. Specifically:

• No cookies are set. The application defines exactly one cookie, par_session, and it is issued only when a staff account signs in to the private admin area. Public pages never set it.
• No analytics provider is connected. The site ships an analytics hook file that deliberately sends nothing: it makes no network request, sets no cookie, reads no storage and performs no fingerprinting. It exists so a provider could be attached later — and if one ever is, this page will say so before it goes live.
• No third-party requests. No font CDN, no tag manager, no embedded media, no social pixels, no advertising network. Every asset is served from this domain.
• No local storage. The site does not read or write localStorage or sessionStorage.

Our hosting provider necessarily processes the technical information required to deliver a web page — your IP address, request path, user agent and timestamp — in server logs. [OWNER CONFIRMATION REQUIRED: hosting provider name, log retention period, and region.]

What we collect when you submit a correction

The corrections form stores only the fields it shows you: the submission type, an optional contact identifier you choose to give, an optional source URL, and your message. Nothing is captured invisibly alongside it.

We use it to assess the evidence and to reply. Submissions enter a review queue and are read by a human. A submission never changes a score directly, and scores cannot be bought.

What we never do

• We do not sell, rent or share personal data.
• We do not build advertising or behavioural profiles.
• We do not accept payment to alter a score, and no commercial relationship changes an assessment. This is a structural commitment, not a courtesy — see editorial standards.
• We do not send unsolicited email. There is no mailing list.
• No public page runs an AI model, calls an external API, or sends your request anywhere. Pages are rendered from a pre-computed read model in our own database.

Public figures and companies

This site publishes factual, sourced statements about companies and their products. Where a named individual appears it is in their public professional capacity and in the context of a cited source. If you believe something about you is inaccurate, use the corrections form — that is the fastest route, and it is read.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data we hold about you, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the only personal data we hold is what you typed into a correction form, an access or deletion request is normally straightforward.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. It sets a strict Content-Security-Policy that permits scripts only from this origin, denies framing entirely, sends X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff, and restricts geolocation, microphone and camera access. Staff accounts are protected by hashed credentials, CSRF tokens and lockout on repeated failure.

Changes to this page

If what we collect changes, this page changes first. We will not begin a new kind of collection and describe it afterwards.
